PRIVATE RESIDENCE, MELROSE

After purchasing a 1900 colonial home in the Melrose's East Side, the homeowners wanted to invest into opening and enlarging the floor plan, expanding views of the outside, designing a state-of-the art kitchen, bathrooms and closets. The new interiors informed by the contemporary Italian design, feature flush interior doors everywhere, sliding glass partitions, white glossy cabinetry by Modulnova in the kitchen and private areas, large format porcelain tiles on walls and floors. Other important updates include new hardwood floors and drywalls on all levels, an integrated home automation system, new interior and exterior lighting, two large additions with expansive outside views, a secondary house entrance with new exterior stairs and landing, 3d floor access with a new staircase and updates, new exterior cladding and window framing, new windows and exterior doors. The project was featured in the Modern Luxury Interiors Boston magazine.
